AI Updates 40+ Year Old Images

Summer 2026 was to be an attempt to recapture some of the fun from the old Summer of the Game playing that Jerry and I did, comical taunting banter with various game playing, and usually more game playing than normal. Instead, I think we actually managed less game playing than normal, and that's ok.

Labor Day has been our normally observed end of summer. Today I was going through folder and files looking for some images (that I did not find) and I came across scans of the old Summer of the Game promo sheets I made back in '85. Let me tell you, they are not good. They aren't decent.

That got me to thinking of what if I had made those promo drawings today? An excuse to make some AI slop! I fed the original image into ChatGPT and pointed out some of the details I remembered, and then just let it make whatever. It was a nice waste of an hour on a Sunday night that gave me some good chuckles.

Normally I try to better align thumbnails, but these scans originally came through as GIFs at odd resolution and sizes, so I just made thumbnails at 200px wide and let the height go all over the place. 16 and 57 year old me's are still chuckling about these.
