One Of Those Feelings

02.17.2003

Do you ever just wake up and get that feeling in your stomach that it's going to be a bad day? For me, when it happens on Monday it usually turns out to be a bad week, not just a bad day.

But maybe I'll be wrong. Maybe today will be all sunshine and happiness (even though it's 30° and rainy outside as I write this). Maybe everything will be alright if I just have a positive attitude.

Maybe there's a better chance of monkeys flying out of my butt.

There went that positive attitude.

Sweet Love

02.14.2003

Yes, it's Valentine's Day yet again. And I, like many, am playing the game of "how long can I put off getting/doing anything before getting into trouble". Last year, I learned that the morning after Valentine's Wal Mart promptly getsrid of all their cards. So this year, my plan is to go during lunch and get a card. While I'm out, I'll try and fetch a little present for my sweetie (and since she doesn't read this, I'll just let everybody else know that I'm probably goingto get her a cd she's been wanting). After that, we're supposed to go out for dinner tomorrow - hopefully avoiding the crush of Valentiners that will be out today.

The only problem with this plan is that I miss out on F.R.A.G.-fest Saturday night with Jer and the guys. Curse you, holiday for lovers! Curse you for impeding on testosterone raging guy time!

Half a Degree of Kevin Bacon

02.13.2003

For some wierd reason, back in the 90's, I got hooked on Saved By The Bell. I know, I shouldn't admit it, but I did. Lately, E has been showing the true Hollywood story about the show, and it's been making me think of those times when I used to watch it.

While they were showing guest stars from the show, up popped Patrick Muldoon, who I mainly remember from seeing in Starship Troopsers, one of my all time favorite movies, even it was was more widely known as Star Trek 90210. He was in the show for 3 or 4 episodes before moving on to other things.

This morning, as I was having my bowl of cereal, I was flipping channels and came across... Saved By The Bell. having 5 minutes left, I left the tv on that channel (so I could finish my cereal). Much to my surprise, Slater shows up with a very young Denise Richards. And while I remember her a lot from Starship Troopers (see, there was a point to all of this!), I remember her even more from Wild Things - which also starred Kevin Bacon, just to make fit the blog title in.

And Jerry says he needs a new hobby?

Joy of Web Creation

02.12.2003

I have a meeting today at Fuqua Osborn Architects about revamping their website. I've spent the past couple of weeks making mock-ups of site layouts (which is one of those quirky things that I just like doing). With some luck, I'll soon have another website I can add to my resume!

Along with changing the web host for this site, I've moved a couple of other sites. My site for wrestling game roms is also being hosted on the same server. Somehow along the way, I lost most of the code for the chiropractor, but it was due for a redesign anyway, so this can be a good thing (I'll go ahead and redesign it instead of putting it off like I'm apt to do).

Update!

02.10.2003

After nie on 3 months, I've finally got an update!

Granted, it's not much of an update because most of everything has been switching servers for the website. But along the way, a little bit of a new look has come to Russellmania.

I still have to update some administration tools to really update the content of the site, but for now you can enjoy the new look. (I'll update the camtoons and dvd listing soon, I promise.)

Blog Archive

As always, correct spelling is optional in any blog entry. Keep in mind that any links more than a year old may not be active, especially the ones pointing back to Russellmania (I like to move things around!).

Tags have been added to posts back to 2005. There may be an occasional old blog that gets added to the tag list, but in reality what could be noteworthy from that far back?
