In another one of those "behind the scenes" episodes, I found a couple of things that caught my eye while looking at log files yesterday. People are accidentally finding my site!
The first one that caught my eye was a Lycos search for Patricia Valazquez (from The Mummy Returns). Evidently my DVD collection has been parsed.
The next one was a Alto Vista search for "Kristy" and "Hooters Girls". Probably a disappointment when they saw it was merely me talking about going to a wrestling event. Sorry about that, anonymous person from Denver.
It's been a record rain month here in Huntsville this year, and the month is only 2/3 over. We've had rain, flooding, and more rain. I think the rain is starting to get to people: they've forgotten how to drive.
It was raining on myway in to work this morning (not unusual, lately). I like the rain because it means there won't be any construction to slow me down on my way in. Quirky, but I'm always trying to find the positive side to everything. It wasn't raining too hard, I never had the wipers on high speed or anything, but my average speed this morning was around 45. Usually it's closer to 60, and there was less traffic than normal this morning!
Maybe it's people trying to be safe. Maybe they're looking out for standing water. Maybe they have no tread left on their tires and their breaks are faltering. But good god people, it's only water! You drink it every day. Most of you bathe in it almost daily! Unless you're the Wicked Witch ofthe West, don't worry about a rain shower.
And press the %@$#ing pedal on the right!
Ok, sorry about that. Just had to get that off my chest. I'm all better now. At least until I fight the lunchtime traffic.
Trying to restart my semi-successful tradition, today brings another new camtoon!
I managed to spend a fun filled weekend catching up on movie watching. First up, I snuck off Friday to a matinee of Matrix Reloaded. From what I had heard, I was expecting a movie that's more ofa set up for the next chapter (like Star Wars Episode II, and Empire Strikes Back) than a stand alone movie. Overall, I was a little dissapointed - it lacked action. I know, people will chastise me, but except for the Neo vs 100 Smiths fight and the 14 minute car chase (both talked about in depth at various sites and news stories), there wasn't much left as far as action.
Saturday I went to the video store and rented Simone. Al Pacino shouldn't do comedies, it just doesn't work. I like the concept of a virtual actress being used in movies, but something about it just wasn't right. I'm glad I ended up only renting it.
Sunday brought forth a matinee of X2: X-Men United. I didn't like this one as much as the first X-Men movie, but I think that may have been in part to watching this one on an empty stomach (skipping breakfast and lunch until the movie lets out at 4:00 makes for a grumpy big guy). I think that if you don't keep up with the X-Men comics, at least at some point in time, there wee too many points in the movie when you would ask "why is everyone snickering, what just happened?" Unfortunately, that can work against you. There were a couple of points I saw coming just because I was familiar with the characters.
Seeing as how I've missed the last 2 (well, 3 if you count yesterday) Camtoon Tuesdays, I'm going to try and make it up by catching up with the 3 missed camtoons, along with a bonus camtoon. Yes, today I unveil 4 new camtoons! And even better, they're starting to get a little bit funny again!
As always, correct spelling is optional in any blog entry. Keep in mind that any links more than a year old may not be active, especially the ones pointing back to Russellmania (I like to move things around!).
Tags have been added to posts back to 2005. There may be an occasional old blog that gets added to the tag list, but in reality what could be noteworthy from that far back?
