After being glued to the tv on Monday nights watching their core of motorcycle shows, I thought it neat that Tennessee has now passed a bill allowing motorcycles to run redlights. It stems from the weight of the motorcycle and rider not being enough to trip the pressure plate for the light, but it sounds like (1) motorcyclists are going to be able to get away with more, and (2) motorcycle insurance rates in Tennessee are about to skyrocket.
Just to keep people saying "huh?", a court in England has ruled that the phrase "shizzle my nizzle" is not offensive.
So all you motorcyclists in Tennessee getting ready to run a light in front of my can just shizzle my nizzle!
I wonder what I just said?
After my recent trend of adding Mr T to the camtoons, I found out yesterday that this year marks the 20th anniversary of the debut of the A-Team. To make it even more special, there has been an annversary reunion/convention scheduled to take place. And in London of all places!
The sad part is that after reading further down on the anniversary website, it looks like the thing has been cancelled. Cancelled, dammit! Now how am I supposed to relive the joy and suspense of 4 wrongly accused felons righting wrongs and protecting the innocent?
Hmmmm, that
I'm a little behind, but I came across a Honda ad yesterday that caught my eye. It's a Rub Goldberg type machine made out of Accord parts. The neatest thing of the commercial was that there were no computer special effects added.
The commercial is called "Cog" and is currently only beeing shown in the UK (and the internet).
The commercial is also being called an homage to Peter Fischli and David Weiss film "The Way Things Go", where they film a Rube Goldberg machineformed out of household items that takes 30 minutes to complete.
I saw a blurb yesterday about getting paid to share files over Kazaa. Although it sounds like a good idea (who wouldn't like to get more money?), I'm pretty sure the only reason Kazaa is so popular is because you get to download files, be they mp3, games, graphics, or whatever, and see whether or not you like them.
I've got a boat load of mp3's off Kazaa. Some are songs that I've searched for that went out of print before the cd age began. Some are pop songs that I shouldn't admit to listening to. Others are songs out of my genre that I wanted to give a try. Would I have paid for any of these? Maybe the old, out of production songs, but that's about it. I know it's a way to curtail the copyright infringment. Apple's new site to download songs for 99 cents each, although I've heard it only works on Macs, seems a better step in the right direction.
Who knows, maybe Kazaa is going to charge a buck a download. I wonder if I'd still be complaining then?
I wonder how long it'll take for someone to make a hack to give you more "Kazzabucks" so you never really have to pay?
I forgot to watch last night's first episode of Monster House, but I somehow get the feeling I didn't miss anything.
But I did manage to get the camtoon up!
As always, correct spelling is optional in any blog entry. Keep in mind that any links more than a year old may not be active, especially the ones pointing back to Russellmania (I like to move things around!).
Tags have been added to posts back to 2005. There may be an occasional old blog that gets added to the tag list, but in reality what could be noteworthy from that far back?
